#CoatsApartment Tour: Bathroom

I DEEP cleaned our apartment this weekend and it felt so good. It was also the perfect time to start out apartment tour. I have documented my two apartments I lived in, in Cookeville and really enjoy going back and being able to see them so I didn't want to miss out on our first place together.

I am going to go on and apologize about the awful lightening in our bathroom. Our shower curtain is actually navy and white but these pictures make it look black and white. We got it at Bed Bath & Beyond and really love it. Click here to see the actual color.

We found our bath towel holder at Bed Bath & Beyond and it works perfectly in our bathroom, and even has a bar to let rags dry on.
Yes, that is a phone jack in our bathroom, and no we have no idea why it's in there lol.

We registered for navy and gray Kenneth Cole Reaction towels from Bed Bath & Beyond and absolutely love them.

We ordered this bathroom cabinet and we were really excited about it. It looked good and extra storage...perfect! Well when it came in we were both disappointed on the size. I guess we didn't read the dimensions on it closely, because it's a lot smaller than we thought it was going to be. So literally the only thing that will fit in there... rags and toilet paper. So toilet paper storage it is!

Apartment Bathroom Makeover Part II

You may remember my post this past October about my bathroom makeover at my old apartment. With over 33,000 page views it is one of my most viewed posts! So, now that I'm in my new apartment (#sKaapartment) I'm ready to share with you part II.

My new bathroom is very small but it's all I need for right now. My color scheme is red, black and white.

These are the views when you first walk in

I decided to keep my floating shelves and baskets. I just couldn't justify throwing them away when they are still in perfectly good shape. They are great for storage since I don't have many drawers or a lot of cabinet space.

I still would like to add something to the walls in here, nothing major just something small.
I am also looking for a small tray to put on my counter in that right corner as well.

I also decided to put my shelf back over the bathroom door. I honestly had no where to keep my towels and I love the idea of using that area for storage, it's out of the way.

I absolutely love these colors together and how it turned out.
Do you have a small bathroom? If so, what did you come up with for storage?

April goals

I have been slacking on my monthly goals so far this year but here are my April ones!!

-Continue eating healthy
Matthew and I are both trying to loose some weight. We are doing workout videos and watching what we eat. Smaller portions, more water, less fast food. We are no where near what we want to be but we are getting there. The weather is FINALLY warming up so we are going to go to a nearby park and run! Plus it's staying daylight longer so we have more time once I get off!

-Start packing things up in ole Apt D
I am moving out of my apt soon, when our lease is up and I am moving into a new one with my best friend, Olivia. We are SO excited and I can't wait to get to decorating!! The two girls I live with now are moving as well. One is moving back home and one is moving in with other friends!

-Make some crafts
With a new apt comes new crafts!!!! I will have my own bathroom so I am excited to decorate this one as well. Remember when I redid the bathroom at the apt I am in now? One of my most viewed posts!

and because I think every post should have at least 1 picture in it...
Hoping to get back down to this size!!!!

What are your April goals?

Apartment bathroom makeover

It has been a work in progress but I am almost finished with our bathroom makeover in our apartment!!
I have all the big things finished and now I just want to add some fun prints to the wall.

Sadly I didn't take any before pictures
but I can describe to you what it was before...not much.
There were no shelves and a plastic pink shower curtain.

So I wanted to touch things up a little bit.
I went with these colors

So let me just show you how it looks now!!

The view when you first walk in
(sorry about the date stamp I forgot to take it off)
I found this adorable shower curtain at Target and it was on sale. It was the perfect color to go with the color scheme.

Our sink area, my side is the left. I saw the idea on Pinterest to put my hair dryer and wand in a book holder and then I got that cute pink container with gold polka dots at Target. Both of them from the dollar section in Target!

Matthew and Andrew added these three shelves that I purchased from Wal-Mart.
They were pretty cheap and just what I needed.

I love what they did to the bathroom and are perfect for extra storage!!

On the top and bottom shelf I had the two wicker baskets on the side

and put one longer one in the middle.

I fell IN love with these little baskets and bought the last 5 they had back in the summer.
I didn't know what I was going to use them for but I knew I wanted them, ha!
Well when I decided to put these shelves up I was trying to think of something to put on them and I dug these out of the closet. Couldn't think of anything else that would look better!!
and the last thing that was added was this shelf over the door for our towels and rags. Because I don't know about you but there is no room in my tiny apartment closet for my towels, way too many clothes for that!!
I saw this idea on Pinterest as well.

I can't believe I hadn't thought about this sooner than I did when I first moved in. Definitely comes in handy!

I painted this for the bathroom.
This saying has always been in my grandmothers bathroom and it was always so catchy. I thought it would be fun to add a piece from her home to mine.

Do you have any small bathroom ideas? I'd love to hear about them!!
