WEEKEND RECAP | NEW PIERCING + CHRISTMAS CARD PICTURES

Thursday night we skipped Reagan's training class and went to Matthew's alma mater for their annual steak dinner! It was a fun night with delicious food and a great speaker.

Saturday we woke up early and had a nice slow and relaxing morning. I made biscuits and gravy with eggs and we watched a few episodes of Friends. Later that day Matthew met his family for lunch while I ran to the store and grabbed some things for dinner that night, My parents came over and my dad pressure washed our driveway and helped finish the wallpaper in our bathroom. I'll share pictures soon, we are so thrilled to have it finished!!!! My dad did such a good job and we so appreciate all his hard work! We already had Christmas card pictures scheduled so Matthew, Reagan and I snuck away for a couple of hours for that. We just got them back and I am in LOVE. Here is a picture I snapped quickly before we got ready to go. Later that afternoon I made my parents dinner and surprised my dad with his favorite dessert, chocolate lasagna! 

I am obsessed with this top. It is cute and extremely comfy.

Sunday we were back in our comfy clothes after church and lunch for the afternoon, and it was so nice to relax all day. Around 9 Sunday night I got a random burst of energy and meal prepped for a couple of meals/lunches before calling it a night. It definitely made Monday morning so much easier.

Monday after work Matthew and I headed to Murfreesboro for a few hours. I had plans to meet my two best friends, Kathleen and Sarah, for dinner so Matthew decided to eat dinner with his parents. 

The girls and I decided last minute to get our cartilages pierced, so random, but so fun. We had all wanted our cartilages pierced but just never went by ourselves so when Sarah mentioned it Kat and I were on board super quick.

We all ended up getting our left ear pierced. It didn't hurt too bad, but it was pretty sore the next day, and they said it would be for awhile. Look at our red ears lol!

After that we went to dinner and then headed to get ice cream. We decided to try the new ice cream place in town, where they roll the ice cream. It was definitely interesting and fascinating watching them do it. I got strawberry with caramel and it was pretty good! It was a fun night and a great way to end a crazy Monday.

Friendsgiving is THIS weekend and we are getting excited and finishing up some last minute details.  We wait to have everyone over!

Also, who has decorated for Christmas already? We haven't yet, and I am trying to be patient since we are hosting Friendsgiving this weekend, but I am more than ready to decorate!!

Zumba + Smoothie King

Tuesday night we had our SOC girls night and it was so fun!!  My old roommate became a certified Zumba instructor over Christmas break and offered to instruct a class for us for a girls night. So Zumba class it was!
Surprisingly, this was my first Zumba class. I definitely feel like I got a workout and really enjoyed it!! Bri had great songs and moves and kept us going the whole class!!

After some of us went to Smoothie King. I had never been there either so I wanted to try it. It took me about 5 minutes to order because I had no idea what I wanted or what I would like. Here lately I have been on a pineapple kick so I went with the Pineapple Surf. Seriously one of the best drinks I have ever had. I saw they have 32oz for $5 on Fridays so I am going back tomorrow to grab one for lunch! 

Last night we walked out of church and the snow was coming down and everything was starting to turn white. We decided to still have our late night singing. Everyone headed over to the SOC house and we had yet another incredible singing. After the singing we all went outside and everything was completely white. Absolutely beautiful. There ended up being a snowball fight and of course pictures that needed to be taken ;)

This snow is definitely the kind of snow everyone wants. Perfect to build a snowman and snowballs, but you can still drive on it!

My drive to work this morning. 

As ready as I am for summer and warmer weather, you just can't help but realize how beautiful this is. I left early this morning in case the roads were bad but they were just slushy. I was able to take my time and not rush. It was a very peaceful drive with a pretty great view.

Zumba + Smoothie King

Five on Friday

This time next week I will be counting down the hours until vacation! This week has been very busy!     //ONE// Monday night we went with the SOC to Short Mountain Bible Camp. It's a little over an hour away but the ride on the bus was fun. The SOC was responsible for the high school night and the devo. Our campus minister, Scott, gave the devotional and then we waited to play a game with them later that night. This is the view we had while Scott was giving the devo..

Absolutely breath taking!

  //TWO// Tuesday night I decided to drive home to see my younger sister's softball game! All three of them had a game in one night! They played a great game and it was sooooo good to be back at the ball field. That is the place I spent a good portion of my summer nights growing up, from practices to games and tournaments to going and watching friends play when I didn't have a game. It just felt like home y'all! My two best friends came over to the game to watch as well, it really was like old times.

  //THREE// Those two girls up there ^ are coming up this afternoon and staying until Saturday afternoon and I am so stinkin excited!! This will be there first time seeing my new apartment and I'm hoping they can help me decorate it! A girls night with them is way overdue!   //FOUR// My family is also coming up this weekend!! They are coming up Saturday afternoon! This will also be their first time seeing my new apartment. I am SO excited! I cleaned the apt Wednesday night and last night, so it is now spotless! Matthew also put some of the shelves up in my bathroom last night, so it's all coming together!! Daddy is bringing up certain type of bolts to hang my windows, and hopefully put up a shelf in my laundry room. He is going to measure my bed and then we are going to start on my headboard!! I showed Daddy a few tutorials and he said he could make one, awww yeah! #sKaapartment is coming together y'all!   //FIVE// Last week I was trying to decide on a tray for my coffee table. I had narrowed it down to two different ones at Hobby Lobby.  I ended up going with the white one and I LOVE IT.

 

It's chalkboard so I got my chalk pens and went to work the night I bought it!! Love how it turned out and that I can change it whenever I want! I'm looking for a cute July 4th design to do next week ;)   This week was definitely busy, I haven't been to bed before midnight all week and I probably won't this weekend either but I'm not really complaining. Life is fun!
