WEEKEND RECAP

Saturday we had zero plans so we took advantage of that and had a slow morning before going out for lunch!

Later Saturday afternoon I got caught up on laundry and watched some Gilmore Girls. Reagan was pretty interested in it too. ;)

Saturday night Matthew grilled us some delicious steaks for dinner and we tested Reagan out in her new car seat at the dinner table lol. She quickly let us know she was not a fan of it.

Sunday we drove to Chattanooga for my future SIL's bridal shower hosted by their church. It was a beautiful Cinderella themed shower and they had the cutest decorations! The cake table was my favorite and the cake tasted incredible!!

After the shower we went to dinner with Andrew, my BIL, and Christina, and then headed home. We got home and pretty much went straight to bed. We are a couple of days shy of being a month away from their wedding, so we'll be back in Chattanooga to celebrate soon!!

FRIDAY VOL. 26

- We have been watching quite a few movies lately, so what are some of your favorite movies?? We always are open to new movie suggestions!

- I had a few gift cards that I have been holding on to since Christmas, and I put them to good use over the holiday weekend! I found some of the cutest tops on major sale.

- I am already thinking about my planner for next year, mostly because a friend at work just introduced me to Plum Paper planners, and I love them! So easy to personalize to what I want. Anyone ever try any of their products?? Their prices aren't bad at all either.

- I have been hearing a lot about Target getting rid of some of their big brands and bringing in some new brands. Target clothes vary for me. Some days I go in there and find some good pieces and come days I go in there and can't find a single item of clothing that I like. So I guess you could say I'm not too sad to see some of those brands go lol.

- If you have a Newk's in your area take advantage of this deal....buy one entree, get one free. And while you're there, treat yourself to a Lemon Whoopie Pie, you won't regret it!

Happy Friday, friends!

JULY 4TH WEEKEND | 2017

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments on my exciting news a couple of weeks ago! I unexpectedly took a blogging break last week. Training at work is well under way and going great, but left me with zero energy after work each day. There were a couple of days last week where I came straight home from work and took a nap. Thankfully, Matthew is so, so sweet and good to me that he picked up my slack and never once complained. Grateful for him is an understatement!!

Saturday I had plans to go down to the pool for a few hours, but it was cloudy and rained off an on, so we had a lazy Saturday morning before heading home for the rest of the weekend. We spent Saturday afternoon at my families house for my grandmother's birthday dinner.
Reagan was rocking the topknot look on the ride home.

Sunday we went to church with Matthew's family and then took Reagan to get groomed. Poor girl needed it badly, as you can see in the picture above lol.

I had to work a half day on Monday so when I got home from the office Reagan was very happy to see me...she kept popping her head over my laptop.

We decided to stay at our house this year for the 4th since it was on a Tuesday and we didn't take off anymore this week. We went out to lunch on Tuesday only to discover a lot of restaurants were closed for the holiday. Chipotle wasn't closed and I had never been there so we decided to give it a try. Matthew has had it before and said it was just okay, but I wasn't a fan of it at all. Blue Coast girl forever I suppose!

We stopped by the store and got a few things for dinner and then came home and watched a movie before starting dinner. Poor Reagan was terrified of all the fireworks and shook all night long. She stayed right up under one of us most of the night. So sad seeing her so scared but she managed well. Our July 4th celebrations looked much different this year, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

SUMMER BUCKET LIST | 2017

Matthew and I sat down the other day and made out our summer bucket list. I'm not really doing monthly goals this year, but I am still keeping up with tons of lists and this one is one of them!

I think we are taking a break on any big house projects. I feel like that's all we have done since we moved in, and while we love the outcome from those projects, we're just ready for a house project break! I might tackle painting the guest bedrooms this summer, but if it doesn't get done this summer I'm not stressing about it one bit.
What's on your summer bucket list?
