FRIENDSGIVING INVITATION | 2017

It's that time of the year again, Friendsgiving is right around the corner and we are planning away. I have mentioned it before, but Friendsgiving is my favorite event to host every year. I'm still working on the tablescape for this year, but finished up this year's invitation a few weeks ago.

I have blocked out our address, for obvious reason, but here is the invitation for our third annual Friendsgiving!

The Facebook event has already been created and we are counting down the days until we can have all of our closest friends around our table enjoying a delicious meal....a month from today actually!! I'll mail these out in about a week or two, and since we always do potluck style, the food list will be going around soon.

SUMMER SOIREE 2017 | TACO 'BOUT A PARTY

A couple of weeks ago we hosted our second annual Summer Soiree. Last year we kicked off summer with our first annual Summer Soiree, and because of a crazy summer schedule this year we ended up winding down our summer activities with our soiree. I decided to go with a taco bar for simplicity's sake and it was a hit!

Here's the invitation.

We had a very simple taco bar and a big ole crock-pot full of queso.

I cooked the taco meat like normal about 2 hours before we ate and then moved it to the crock-pot and kept on warm until it was time to eat.

I picked up those cute and festive banners from the Target Section. They came with a big fuchsia balloon on the end but I quickly remembered (about 30 minutes before everyone arrived) that in order for the balloons to stay up they would need helium.  So we cut the balloons off and just used the banner as a backdrop. Work with whatcha got, amiright?!

Katie's boyfriend couldn't make it so Reagan stepped in for a picture!

After we ate we loaded up and all headed to the fair. It was my first time going to an actual fair so I'll share about that in a separate post soon.

We had a great time and I am already looking forward to our next dinner party....which is Friendsgiving!! My favorite dinner party of the year. I designed the invitations last week and confirmed the date with all our friends. We can't wait!

FRIENDSGIVING INVITATION | 2016

Lord willing, we will be marking off an item off of our Fall Bucket list a month from tomorrow! We are planning on hosting our 2nd annual Friendsgiving, and our first Friendsgiving in our new home. We are so excited and have been looking forward to this event since last Friendsgiving
Our best friends, good food, football, cooler weather, and games...it's our favorite event to host and we are counting down the days!

Here is our 2015 Friendsgiving invitation and below is the invitation that I designed for this year!

We plan on doing Friendsgiving potluck style again this year. It worked really well last year and we're sticking with it this year. Last year the weather was really chilly and I think it rained off and on throughout the day, so we're hoping for cool but sunny weather this year!

PUMPKIN CENTERPIECES + (2015) FRIENDSGIVING INVITATION

I am pulling two posts that I wrote last fall to share with you today. It's that time of year to decorate for all things fall, and to start planning for Friendsgiving, if you are hosting! I shared all about hosting as a young wife, and you can read those posts, here.

Last year I decided to make our fall centerpieces for Friendsgiving. I ended up liking them so much that I left them out until it was time to decorate for Christmas. They were really simple to make, and fit perfectly on our tables.
You can find the supplies that you'll need and step by step directions (with pictures) on how to make these centerpieces, here!

Next up is the invitation that I designed for Friendsgiving last year. I went with the Friends theme and they were a hit with all of our guests, especially my sister, who is obsessed with the show. ;)
I designed the invitation in PicMonkey and printed them out at home to mail to all of our guests.

I have already started picking up some things for Friendsgiving this year, and I am getting very excited. I designed the invitation for this year a few weeks ago, and I will be sharing it next week, so stay tuned!

Are any of you hosting Friendsgiving or even Thanksgiving this year? I would love to hear about it!
