WHAT I'M LOVING | MAY 2017


The other day I realized that it was almost the middle of June and I haven't shared last month's installment of my What I'm Loving series where I share what I've been loving that month in the following categories: Makeup/Beauty Products, Music, Home Decor/Products, Food/Drinks, Clothing/Accessories, and Priceless (side note: each month might not include every category I just listed!) You can find April's post here! So here is what I've been loving in May...


Makeup/Beauty Product
  • Essie - Sweet Soufflé - I picked this up the other day and I am loving it for summer! I have been on the search for a pretty white nail polish for this summer and this one is perfect!
Food/Drink
  • Cheeseburger pizza - I posted about this last month, but it's worth another mention because it's so delicious and I have probably made it three more times this past month! Homemade pizzas are super easy and cheap...the perfect Friday night meal when you don't feel like cooking and washing a whole lot of dishes. ;)
  • Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tenders - I made this recently, too, and it turned out better than I expected!
  • Starbucks Vanilla Iced Coffee with Caramel - I don't go to Starbucks often, usually only when I have a gift card, but I tried this the other day and have seriously been thinking about it way too much. Just a simple drink and it actually isn't crazy priced like some other drinks I've tried there!
Home Decor/Products
  • Magic Erasers - These have been around for years, but I recently discovered that these things can clean your glass shower doors better than anything else!! I use these on just about everything else around the house, but by far my favorite thing to use them for is our glass shower door. 
  • Patio furniture - We bought this set last month and absolutely LOVE it. This set is the perfect size for our patio and is very comfy! I have definitely enjoyed lounging around on it in the mornings while I take Reagan out or as soon as I get home from work. 
Clothing/Accessories
  • White Skinny Jeans - I needed some new white jeans this year and I am loving this pair from Old Navy!!
  • Magnolia Quarter Strap Sandals - I picked these up last month at Target and LOVE them, Not only are they really comfy but they are adorable and go with everything.
  • Relaxed Off-the-Shoulder Swing Top - This shirt from Old Navy is going to be a staple for this summer. It's cute and lightweight, which is perfect for these hot and humid days we are already having!
Priceless 
  • Celebrating Mother's Day Weekend at home with our families.
  • Reagan having her first puppuccino and loving it!!
  • Recapping how we met and celebrating 7 years of togetherness on May 29th!
  • Watched the Pred's in the playoffs and experienced one of the best seasons EVER.
  • Celebratory dinner with Matthew...more on that to come later this month! He is the sweetest and is always so encouraging. LOVE THAT MAN.

WHAT I'M LOVING | APRIL 2017


Today is the fourth post in this series, What I'm Loving, where I share what I've been loving that month in the following categories: Makeup/Beauty Products, Music, Home Decor/Products, Food/Drinks, Clothing/Accessories, and Priceless (side note: each month might not include every category I just listed!) You can find March's post here! So here is what I've been loving in April...

Makeup/Beauty Product
  • Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream - This is my favorite moisturizer. I have naturally oily skin so moisturizers that are cream based are too much for my skin. A friend recommended this a couple of years ago and I have been using this same one every since. It also only takes just a little bit.
  • Remington® T|Studio™ Pink Silk Wide Wand - Another beauty product that I have had for a couple of years and swear by. This is the only styling tool that will curl my hair properly and I love it. I have been using it a lot more recently and can usually curl all my hair in 30 minutes..I have a lot of (thick) hair!
  • All Over Bronze Glow - This is my favorite bronzer! I have actually had it for a couple of years, because I only apply a little at a time and it's usually on around this time of the year. Where my body tans when I'm out for walks on my lunch break or we are at an event that is held outside but my face doesn't really tan because I have makeup on and it has SPF in it. So that leaves my face and body two different shades, but I just use a tiny bit of this and it helps a ton. 
  • Polly Want a Lacquer? - I am obsessed with this color for spring right now! It's the perfect pop of color and goes well with most of my spring tops. 
Food/Drink
  • Bowtie Chicken Alfredo - This is a Pioneer Woman recipe and it's one of her 16 minute recipes. We loved it and it was so simple to make!
  • Aquafina Sparkling Water, Lemon Lime - I picked some sparkling water up a couple of weeks ago at Kroger to try and love it. I go home everyday for lunch so I just grab one to take back to work with me. It's perfect for that afternoon stretch when I really want something other than just plain water. I tried the lemon lime flavor but there were a lot of other flavors I want to try soon.
  • All the fresh fruit - This time of the year I want to eat all the fruit. Strawberries, pineapples, grapes and apples. I am hoping our grocery store will get some fresh pineapple in soon
  • Homemade biscuits - I made homemade biscuits a few weeks ago and then made FOUR more batches this week. I keep them in the freezer and then pull a couple out when we want them. It cheaper and tastes so much better than store bought biscuits! I'll share the recipe next week.
Home Decor/Products
  • Wallpaper- This is still an ongoing project but we are wallpapering our half-bathroom downstairs and I could not be more excited about it. I can't wait to share when we are finished! The color and design give me all the heart eyes.
Clothing/Accessories
  • Jane.com - I ordered a few summer shirts from Jane.com last week and they were such a good price! I am obsessed with all the floral for spring and summer and they have PLENTY of that to go around. You just can't beat those prices on there either. 
Entertainment 
  • The Pioneer Woman - I have probably mentioned it about 50 times in the past month, but I have been obsessed with The Pioneer Woman and her show. I have watched all the ones on the Food Network app and I am already looking for more.
  • Designated Survivor - This is one of our favorite shows and it has gotten so intense lately and I love it!
  • Hockey- We are at the end of hockey season and our Preds are doing SO good in the playoffs! There is usually some type of hockey game on our TV these nights lol.
  • Summer Days Playlist - The days are getting warmer and the sun is going down later which means that summer is on it's way! My favorite time of the year is almost here and I have been listening to my summer playlist on repeat!
Priceless
  • Our day spent in Cookeville. It was the best day and was so, so good to see everyone again. We are hoping to get back up there at least once a month (if not more) this summer.
  • A good report from my dad's cardiologist...Praise!!!!!
  • My BIL and best friends getting engaged! So many exciting things coming up!
  • Spending the whole day with my family.
  • Two days of PTO in the middle of the week...it made for a long week but it was a wonderful break in the middle of the week!
  • Watching my sister get and award and a surprise scholarship!!
  • Celebrating my sister turning 20 and baking her a fun cake!
  • Late night sonic dates with Matthew...half price milkshakes are back which means is basically SUMMER!
  • Sitting out on the back patio with Matthew and talking about anything and everything while Reagan plays...I can't wait for more summer nights like this!
  • Celebrating Easter with our families and actually having good weather on Easter for once!
  • Getting FREE tickets to the Preds game and having incredible seats!

WHAT I'M LOVING | MARCH 2017



Today is the third post in this series, What I'm Loving, where I share what I've been loving that month in the following categories: Makeup/Beauty Products, Music, Home Decor/Products, Food/Drinks, Clothing/Accessories, and Priceless (side note: each month might not include every category I just listed!) You can find February's post here! So here is what I've been loving in March...


Makeup/Beauty Product
  • L'Oreal® Paris Infallible Matte Foundation - I have finally found a drugstore foundation that I love...and it's only $10. It covers wells and holds up all day. I only have to use a little bit, which is a huge bonus for me. 
  • Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara - This is one thing I was not loving in March. I ran out of my normal mascara so I wanted to try something new. I read the reviews on this and it sounded great, but unfortunately it smudged a little too much for my liking.
Food/Drink
  • Emerald Dry Roasted Almonds 100 Calorie - I saw these on someone's Insta story and decided to pick them up that afternoon when I stopped by the store on a whim. Turns out I love them! They are my snack everyday around 2:30ish. Such good flavor!
Home Decor/Products
  • Mrs. Meyer's Hand Soap Peony- I'm already a big Mrs. Meyer's product fan and then they came out with a Peony scent...swoon. It smells so good! It's a limited edition scent so I need to go stock up. They also have a Lilac scent out, but I didn't care for it as much. 
  • Ring Video Doorbell - We have actually had this a few months, but we absolutely love our doorbell. It picks up any motion and sends us a notification on our phones, so we always know who is in our driveway/at our house.
Priceless 
  • Celebrating Matthew's 25th birthday
  • Eating dinner out on the patio when the weather is absolutely gorgeous
  • Girls night with my best friends
  • Time spent with our families 
  • Car shopping with Matthew
  • Date night...the best kinda nights!
  • Giving Reagan a bath...I love a fluffy and clean puppy

WHAT I'M LOVING | FEBRUARY 2017


Today is the second post in this series, What I'm Loving, where I share what I've been loving that month in the following categories: Makeup/Beauty Products, Music, Home Decor/Products, Food/Drinks, Clothing/Accessories, and Priceless (side note: each month might not include every category I just listed!) You can find January's post here! So here is what I've been loving in February...


Makeup/Beauty Product
  • Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub Sea Kelp + CGF - I am in love with this product. I picked it up at Target recently and have used it multiple times! The smell isn't the greatest thing in the world, but I can definitely handle it. My face feels incredibly smooth after I use this. I use it in the shower, usually about every other day, and it's wonderful.
  • Moroccan Rose Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub - I picked this up in January and forgot to mention it last month, but this is a new favorite, too. During the winter my legs are always incredibly itchy after I shave them, no matter how much lotion I put on them after my shower. I've tried multiple things, shaving with shaving cream, conditioner, etc. and so far this is the only thing that has made an incredible difference. It doesn't hurt that it smells incredible either!

 Food/Drink
  • Crock-pot Taquitos - I made these last week and Matthew and I both agreed that they need to be added to our recipe rotation! 
  • Homemade Meat Sauce - I've been looking for a homemade meat sauce that I could make instead of buying store bought sauce, and this one is definitely a winner! Next time I make it I'm going to freeze half of it.

Home Decor/Products
  • Mrs. Meyer's Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner, Lavender - I mentioned the hand soap in last month's post, but goodness, I think the cleaner smells even better! In an attempt to buy only natural brands (more on that later) I picked this multi-surface cleaner up on the whim during a Target trip recently and now I want more!
  • 12-Cube Organizer - Matthew recently picked up this 12-cube organizer for my home office, but I think we have both decided that we want to do a small master closet makeover and put it in our closet. We were scheming up plans last night and I am beyond excited to start this project! We are going to get an 8-cube organizer for my office soon! 

 Clothing/Accessories

  • Easter dress - It is officially time to start looking for a Easter dress. Last year I had a blue and white dress, so this year I'm looking for something a little different! This dress and this dress are definitely on my radar. Easter is later this year, so I have a little more time to shop around. Any cute dress I need to see? Send them my way!!

Music


Priceless 
  • Planning out new house projects with Matthew
  • Planning some trips/vacations for this year!
  • Getting to watch my youngest sister's last basketball game
  • Celebrating our second married Valentine's Day together
  • The very mild winter we have had
  • Evening walk with Reagan

WHAT I'M LOVING | JANUARY 2017


I am starting a new series for 2017 that I am pretty excited about. Each month I'll post a "What I'm Loving" post outlining what I've been loving that month. Some of the categories will be makeup/beauty products, music, home decor/products, food/drinks, clothing/accessories, and priceless (side note: each month might not include every category I just listed!) So here is what I've been loving in January...


Makeup/Beauty Product
  • Pixi By Petra Glow Tonic - I have read many reviews about different toners to use and finally decided on this one. I actually got it at the end of December to start using every night after I take my makeup off and wash my face. I love it and would definitely recommend it! I really love it for the glycolic acid which exfoliates the skin and promotes a toned, smooth complexion. I feel like it helps with blotchy red spots and evening out my complexion. It's also alcohol free, hypoallergenic and paraben free - all great for the skin. I'm not too crazy about the scent. but that definitely won't make me stop using it. And for $15 you can't beat that!
  • e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask - I bought this at the beginning of January and used it with my best friend, Rachel, one night and a couple of other times. I usually never have dry skin in the winter but this year my face has been a little dry and itchy (so weird!). I found this at Target for under $10 (I think they had a sale on all e.l.f products going on when I bought this)

 Food/Drink
  • Morningstar Farms Roasted Garlic and Quinoa Burger - I also mentioned these the other day, but these are basically all I ate while Matthew was out of town on a business trip lol. I just baked them in the oven for a bit and then browned them (just to get them crisp!) in a skillet on the stove for a few mins. Throw a slice of low fat cheese on them and pair it with the sweet potato fries and there I had a delicious (and quick!) meal.

Home Decor/Products
  • Mrs. Meyer's Hand Soap Lavender -  Hands down my favorite hand soap, besides BBW seasonal soaps that is, I keep this in our half bath downstairs and guests always rave about how good it smells!
  • 5 Tier Bookcase Shelf Ladder in White Finish - I posted about our new shelf ladder, here, and we have been loving it every since we got it up! It's the perfect filler for the empty spot in our living room and I am keeping an open eye for cute pieces to style on it!
  • Teardrop Lamp Base, Mercury Finish - I picked this lamp up at Walmart the other day for our entryway table and love it (it's only $19.99 in stores, so don't buy it online!) I was very surprised when I saw it on the shelf because I saw one very similar to it for double the price at Target!

Clothing/Accessories
  • Women's Favorite Pullover Cable Sweater - One of  my absolute favorite sweaters. They were on sale right around Christmas and my parents got me a lot of them! I love pairing them vests, button downs (under them), or a cute statement necklace! AND right now they are on major sale!! Hello, 70% off!! Seriously, go buy every color that they have available, perfect for layering in the winter and a light sweater in the spring!

Music
  • Emily Ley - January - I am obsessed with Emily Ley's January playlist. Such a good variety of music and all of it is upbeat music, perfect to start the day off!

Priceless 
  • Lazy Sundays, taking a family nap and watching Gilmore Girls
  • Dinner with my family while Matthew was out of town on his business trips.
  • Spontaneous date night to dinner and a movie
  • First snow day of the year, spent with my little family by the fire all day
  • Playing with Reagan and Matthew in the dining room/study. I sat on one end of the room and Matthew sat on the other end and Reagan kept running in between the both of us, and I jumped up one time and hid behind Matthew's desk and she ran into the kitchen and up the stairs looking for me, it was absolutely adorable.
  • Road trip to Cookeville to meet Matthew half way, and our best friends, for dinner!
  • Church, and lunch at our house with family
  • Dinner, lunch, and small road trip with my best friends. Catching up on girl time!
