Engagement Pictures- Part III

We made three outfit changes with our photographer in Cookeville. She said we could do as many outfit changes as we wanted but we decided three would be plenty lol.
We didn't make too many pictures in these outfits, only because we got pretty hot at this point, and this was the hottest outfit for both of us. I still love the ones we got though!!

Can we just talk about my ponytail for a minute?! I know it's crazy, Matthew literally tells me I am crazy every time I mention it lol, but I put my hair up in like two minutes in the nasty bathroom at Cane Creek Park. I was hot and starting to get sweaty and I just KNEW my hair would have a crease in it when I took it back down, but it didn't! Our photographer and my sister  were both amazed at how good it looked from putting it up that quick, while Matthew thought we were all crazy ;)
Side note- I have tried multiple times after that day and can't get my ponytail to look that good.
And yes, I just wrote a whole paragraph on my ponytail, #noshame

5 years

Well, this is about 13 days late lol.

On May 29th Matthew and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. I still can't believe it. I feel as if time has flown by, yet again I feel like we've always been together.
Over these past few five months of not living in the same town again it has really taught us to appreciate our time together. I'm so thankful for our weekly dinner dates, and for our weekends together.

5 years ago on May 29, 2010 we decided to make all that flirting official. I am cherished, protected and honored with an exemplary love, and it just keeps getting better. I admire and respect you and the life that you lead-- how you love and serve, which flows ultimately from your heart for The Lord that I love so much. I am honored to be the one you have chosen to walk through life with, and I am truly thrilled to be your wife. Thank you for challenging me every day to be the woman you deserve. Forever grateful for you, Matthew. You are the catch of a lifetime, and I can't wait to watch you become my HUSBAND in 37 days and start our lives together in Nashville.

Engagement Pictures - Part II

These are the pictures that our best friend, Sarah, made for us!
I wanted to find a road with a tree tunnel and literally looked everywhere. I finally asked Sarah and she knew right off where we needed to go. Stones River Battle Field, it's right in our hometown and is beautiful!! We made family pictures there a couple of years ago. I don't know why I didn't think of there lol but Sarah did! She borrowed her boyfriends nice camera and made these for us. She hasn't made pictures for anyone like this before, but goodness she is GOOD at it!! We told her she and her boyfriend need to go into photography together. They are both really good at it.

More coming tomorrow!

Engagement Pictures

I am finally getting around to sharing our engagement pictures with y'all!!
My best friend made some pictures of us back at home and then we drove up here to Cookeville to meet our photographer and she made the rest. We are IN love with all of them. They both did SO good and worked with us to get what we wanted. Both of them have so much talent,
 We're so thankful!!

We put them off for soooo long and at times I had mixed feelings of putting them off for so long but when we finally have them made, and then when we got them back we were THRILLED and could not have asked for a prettier day!! It was a little warm at times, but compared to the weather now, we had perfect weather that day!!
We went to the spot on campus where we got engaged and remade the picture.
We plan on doing this on our wedding day, too!
So there is the first group of engagement pictures!! I can't wait to share the rest with y'all!!
