Bad habits- may be a tad embarassing...

I was reading a magazine the other day about peoples bad habits and it made me start thinking of mine, of course.
 
Y'all I have some weird habits. If you are around me I'm sure you already know some of these and these are just some of the ones I have noticed in the past few days there are probably more I am not even aware of.
 
Habit #1
I don't always wear mascara but when I do I pick most of it off by the end of the day...weird I know.
 
Habit #2
I pick my nail polish off...ALL THE TIME
I never realized I did this until a few weeks ago I was sitting in my training class at work and I stood up to leave for the day and I promise you it looked like I dumped a tray of pink and sparkle flakes on the ground.
Then my friends that were both sitting beside me both noticed...embarrassing.
 
Habit #3
-I buy school supplies when I don't need it. I have a ridiculous amount, but when the next semester rolls around, guess who you will see in Target on the school supplies aisle?? This girl
 
Habit #4
I talk loud...sometimes.
Matthew would probably say all the time haha but I really don't even realize it until he brings it to my attention. This usually only happens when we are riding in the car together and I am over dramatizing a story to him.
 
Habit #5
When I get something in my head that I want/need to do.  I want to do it that exact second. No one get in my way...
 
Habit #6
I have OCD about even numbers...hence the number of habits I have listed.
Anytime I have to pick a number you better believe I'm going to pick an even number.
If there are two chocolate cookies left, of course I can't just leave one, duhh.
 
Habit #7
When I get bored or nervous I play with the end of my hair...it's so weird and everyone calls me out on it. My mother hates it.
 
Habit #8
I over-analyze things, even the smallest of things.
If I hear a noise in the middle of the night I immediately think someone is breaking in and going to slit my throat and steal my laptop and cute necklaces.

DIY chalkboard tray

The other day I was walking around the dollar tree looking for something and I came across this tray
I immediately thought about the chalkboard paint back at home and grabbed it up.
I painted the middle part with the chalkboard paint, I did about four coats just to make sure and then I painted primer on the outer part and then painted two coats of blue over the primer.

I know I know this isn't a huge new project and everyone is making stuff like this but it was fun and I loved the way it turned out!
 
I chose a light color blue that will match our colors of the kitchen at our apartment!
I LOVED how it turned out!! 
So easy to make and SO cheap!

Haute LA Boutique review + weekend recap

A few weeks ago I was contacted by the sweet Tara over at Haute LA boutique and of course I fell in love with everything on her website!
I saw a dress on her website that I have been eyeing on Pinterest all summer and knew right away that was the dress I wanted...let me just show you so you can see for yourself

Saturday: I took my little sister out for the day for her birthday since I won't be home on her actual birthday.
I told her the day was hers to pick where she wanted to go!
We ate lunch together and she filled me in on all her 4th grade drama, did some shopping and ended our girls day with ice cream!
I can't believe she is going to be 10 in a few short days!!

Sunday: We had a great church service! It was a lesson I needed to hear and got me thinking on a few things for sure. My other little sister was invited to a birthday party at a hair salon...I hadn't ever really heard of that but that looked like the cutest party ever for little girls.
They got to pick out any dress they wanted and pick out any jewelry and then they got their hair, nails and make up done  and on top of that they got to walk on the "red carpet".

Matthew had a guys weekend in South Carolina with his brother and his brothers old roommate and he is coming home today, can't wait to hear all about his trip over dinner tonight!
