CURRENTLY | JUNE 2017
Planning | All the things!!!! Seriously, all the things. Some I can't share just yet, but I'm excited about them all, and so in my element. I love planning events, it is oddly relaxing to me, ha! I have so many secret boards going on Pinterest right now and about 100 to-do lists going...my planner is looking extra messy right now, and I love it.
Wishing | That I liked healthier foods. I like a very select few vegetables and fruits, and it would definitely help if I liked more lol. Maybe if I just start making myself eat them I will eventually like them...is it just an acquired taste or am I never going to like certain vegetables?? Also, wishing/crossing my fingers/hoping that the Pred win the Stanley Cup!!!!!!
Learning | That I can't just eat whatever I want and not work out like I did when I was younger. It's the sad truth and it kinda just slaps you in the face when you realize it....womp womp womp. There has to be some balance and I'm still trying to learn that. ;)
Browsing | All the house plans! I think I've mentioned it on here before, but we eventually want to build our 'forever' home. Not anytime soon of course, but eventually we do and it's really fun to look at different house plans and daydream. And all the different ideas for my office at home. Remember my dream desk that Matthew surprised me with for our first married Christmas?? Well I have been on the search to find another one, preferably the same one, to put in my office and make it sort of an "L" shape in the corner, and it retails for $1,100!!!!! Insert all the wide eye, eye rolling, crying face emojis. So I have been looking into a cheaper option (obviously) and found a desk similar, but I would have to spray paint the metal legs and hardware gold to match my desk now, but to save around $1000 I am more than okay with doing that. I just hope they are the same height, it would look real funny if they weren't lol. Seriously, who spends that much money on a desk? We really lucked out when we found it at Home Goods for way less than that.
Going | to my BIL's engagement party this weekend! They are getting married in early August so this starts all of the wedding festivities for them, woo hoo!
Secret boards on pinterest are the best, haha! Can't wait to see what you're up to! ;)
ReplyDeleteVegetables can definitely be an acquired taste. I used to hate them all now I love basically THEM ALL!
ReplyDeleteI just ate them a lot and researched ways to cook them and once i started eating them more I found more and more ways to cut the fattiness with cooking and get back to super lean vegetables.
I'm also browsing all of the house plans too! We are getting land and building!
Ugh, yes, if only it was as easy as just working out anymore! I used to not like veggies as much, but have started to love almost anything roasted. Olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic pretty much makes any roasted veggie delicious!
ReplyDeleteOMG Shelby, I'm sooo with you on wishing I liked more veggies!!! Also, you and your husband are so so cute!
ReplyDeleteHouse planning and dreaming is a fun hobby, isn't it? Thanks for linking up :)
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel better, a lot of people have to try foods 10-15 times before they start to like them. I really don't like veggies, but I've found ways to incorporate ones I can tolerate into recipes or ways to cook them so I can eat them. It does take some experimenting.
