My weekend...

Was better than I could have hoped for!
If you read my post from Friday then you know I went on a church retreat this weekend.
I only worked half a day on Friday (THANK GOODNESS) and Matthew, Nathan (his twin bro) and Jenny (his bro's gf) picked me up and we headed to good ole Mississippi.

The retreat was at Tishomingo State Park and it was beautiful!! We drove for a little bit on the Natchez Trace Parkway and it was pretty but there was absolutely nothing for miles.

We met up with the rest of the group going on the buses in Alabama and ate dinner at a barbecue place called Lawler's.

Then we loaded back up and drove the rest of the way there!

It was a combined retreat with Mississippi State and Ole Miss so there were close to 100 people there, that might not seem like a lot but when you only have a certain amount of cabins and showers 100 is A LOT.

and my bed for the weekend

In our cabin we had 19 girls, 18 beds, 2 toilets, and 1 shower. Yep you read that right 1 shower. but we made it work, ha!

Overall it was a great weekend with a great group of people with like wise faith and I can tell ya there is nothing better than that!
I will post more about the retreat so keep an eye out for it!

Linking up with Sami!

  3. Sounds like a fun adventure! I've never been to Mississippi/Alabama or really anywhere in the south.
