#THECOATSHOME: SPRAY PAINTING OUR CHANDELIER

When it comes to updating/upgrading things around our home we have to pick and choose where we want to splurge and where we want to save. Our light fixtures are on our list to upgrade in our home, but we also know that they are not cheap by any means. So in the meantime we decided to give our dining room chandelier a little update....

I forgot to take an closer picture of it before we took it down, but here is a picture of it. Basically, this is what it looked like before.

and here is a picture after we spray painted it and let it dry for a couple of days.

Total Cost: $7

Painters Tape - Already had on hand
Sandpaper - Already had on hand

We covered the entire thing in spray paint and then let it dry for 24 hours, and then went back in and spray painted a few areas that we missed the first time, and let it dry for 24 more hours before we hung it back up. The hardest part was taking it down and putting it back up, I left that to my dad and Matthew, ha!

  3. Oh my gosh, I am totally doing that. We have an old, ugly, brass chandelier in our dining room and I bet we could transform ours too! Great idea!
