WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY | MAY 2018

1. WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK:  Monday - Memorial Day - Hamburgers and hot dogs Tuesday - Out to dinner Wednesday - I am making spaghetti using my mema's recipe, it is my absolute favorite! Thursday - Tacos Friday - We'll probably have leftovers or grill some chicken and have a spinach and chicken salad!
2. WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT:  As of yesterday, 8 YEARS of being with Matthew! So many sweet memories. I went through a ton of old pictures of the two of us over the past 8 years....we were such babies!!

3. WHAT I'M LOVING: I am loving that it's finally summer time! School's are officially out around here, VBS talk and meetings are going on, our neighborhood pool has opened, and all of the warm weather! Summer is HERE!
4. WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO: House project planning! I can't wait to share what all we've been up to and planning. 
5. WHAT I'M DREADING: All the summer bugs!! I already have a ton of mosquito bites and it's just the beginning of summer.
6. WHAT I'M WORKING ON: I have been working on my 'Welcome' sign I talked about last week. I'm hoping to finish it this week and I'll share it soon. 
7. WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT:  We are both taking some time off over the next couple of months and I am looking forward to some downtime this summer. My sister and I are also planning a day trip to Memphis this summer that we are both looking forward to! I am also helping plan my best friend's baby shower this summer and I am so excited to start planning for that!
8. WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING: I'm not doing any leisurely reading right now, but I am reading a whole bunch of documents for training at work, ha! I have also been watching my favorite Vloggers, Ellie and Jared. I love their YouTube channel!
9. WHAT I'M LISTENING TO: I made a playlist on Spotify a couple of weeks ago with some "old tunes" that I listened to with my parents growing up- I have missed these songs! Matthew and I were getting things prepped and ready for a cookout at our house this past weekend and we played that and danced around kitchen to it all morning.
10. WHAT I'M WEARING: I have been LIVING in these dresses from Old Navy so far this summer, and when I'm not in those I'm in athletic shorts and a tank top, ha! Gotta find ways to stay cool in this summer heat that has already set in!
11. WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND: I am getting my hair trimmed on Friday and that's the only set in stone plan we have so far this weekend! 
12. WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: - Time with family and friends - More house projects - I am getting some new glasses...my current glasses are from HIGH SCHOOL so I'd say it's time for an upgrade, ha! - Time off of work
13 WHAT ELSE IS NEW: It was time for us to upgrade our phones and Verizon had a great deal going this past weekend so were were able to upgrade and our bill stayed the same....yay!

ONE | What We're eating this week...

TWO | What I'm reminiscing about...

Our honeymoon and cruise...it has been warmer the past couple of days here and it's making me excited for summer coming up and some trips we are wanting to take this year! Literally wanting to use my packing list that I made ASAP...I do believe I have the travel bug!

THREE | What I'm loving...

THIS diffuser. I love it so much I have one for at home and one for my desk at work, ha! 

It's the perfect size and I'm obsessed. 

FOUR | What we've been up to...

I went to Murfreesboro this past weekend and watched my sister's last basketball game and then had lunch with my mom and sisters, my dad was at work. Sunday we had lunch with my in-laws, and this week we have been working and going to bed somewhat early...woo hoo for early bed times!

FIVE | What I'm dreading...

Nothing! 

SIX | What I'm working on...

Organizing our house...little by little, it is getting done and it feels great! I'm not following a specific schedule, just doing what I feel like, when I have the time.

SEVEN | What I'm excited about...

Matthew's birthday is next month and I have just about nailed down his birthday plans! I love celebrating him. And my new car! My dad works at Nissan so I am able to participate in the employee discount lease (which I am extremely grateful for!!) and my new car should be ready any week now. I am getting a Juke this time and I am so excited! Anyone drive a Juke? They are just the cutest!!

EIGHT | Watching I'm watching/reading...

We are almost finished with Gilmore Girls, which I'm really bummed about lol and I am almost finished with Emily Ley's book!

NINE | What I'm listening to...

Don't laugh...I'm still listening to The Sound of Music soundtrack...#noshame

TEN | What I'm wearing...

I have been able to wear a couple of short sleeved shirts this week (with a light jacket/rain jacket) because it has been so warm!

ELEVEN | What I'm doing this weekend...

Reagan is getting groomed bright and early Saturday morning- girl needs it bad! I am hoping to get on a 6 week schedule with her groomers! 

TWELVE | What I'm looking forward to next month...

Like I mentioned up there...Matthew's birthday, another month closer to summer (hello warm weather and pool time!), maybe a couple of new house projects??  And being another month closer to the end of Matthew's busy season! #Imarriedanaccountant #averyhandsomeaccountant 

THIRTEEN | What else is new...

We hung up some curtains in our dining room that I am in love with. I'll share them later this week or early next week, but all I have to say is...buffalo check is my new favorite.

WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY

What we're eating...

I made spaghetti and meatballs last night and tonight we're having potato soup...my fav!

What I'm reminiscing about...

When we used to dress up for Halloween. When we lived in Cookeville we were involved with our campus ministry and we would have a Halloween costume party every year. One year we were minions and the year after that we were Cory and Topanga from Boy Meets World.

What I'm loving...

The fact that our 7 week old puppy is sleeping through the WHOLE night. We were waking up 2-3 times a night (which was fine and completely expected) to take her to the bathroom, but since Sunday night she has slept all the way through the night! She's perfect, and fingers crossed she keeps this up!!!! The first night she slept all the way through it about gave us a heart attack when we woke up and realized the other one didn't take her out at all through the night (we have both slept through the other one getting up and taking her out at one point or another). We both jumped up immediately to make sure she was still breathing lol #helicopterfurparents

ALSO, THIS TRAILER...had me in tears and laughing at the same time. I've been re-watching (probably for the 100th time) my favorite episodes over the past couple of weeks to get me pumped for November 25th!!

What we've been up to...

Playing with Reagan...y'all are going to be so tired of seeing/hearing about her, but we love our girl!! She truly brings us so much joy and always has us laughing about something new that she is doing.

What I'm dreading...

Cleaning out our garage soon. We have done a good bit of cleaning on it here and there over the past few weeks, but we are needing to clean it out completely, so that we can park in there again. It's getting cold in the mornings and I don't want to have to go out and start our cars each morning or scrape ice off of them when we have a garage that our cars can stay in.

What I'm working on...

Painting...I just finished up the kitchen on Sunday, and all that we have left downstairs (that we can do ourselves) is the hallway and second coat on the study. 

What I'm excited about...

So much to be excited about this time of the year...the cooler weather (for the most part lol), Friendsgiving, Gilmore Girls...we are less than a month away friends, Thanksgiving, OUR CRUISE (yay!!) Christmas! I love everything about this time of the year. 

What I'm watching/reading...

We are obsessed with Designated Survivor, This Is Us, the Voice, and of course hockey.

What I'm listening to...

Since it's still too early for Christmas music, I am listening to a mix of things...

What I'm wearing...

I recently bought this shirt from Forever 21 and love it. 

It's a great shirt to transition into fall with, and I can wear it with dress pants to work or my favorite ankle/pixie pants, or I can wear it with jeans for after work or the weekends. I can throw a cardigan or light jacket over it since it's cooler in the mornings and then wear it by itself in the afternoons since it's still a little warm throughout the afternoon. Also, as mentioned the other day, I bought these ankle boots, and I am loving them!

What I'm doing this weekend...

Matthew has to work in Chattanooga Saturday morning so we decided to make a weekend out of it. We are staying with his brother since he lives in Chattanooga. Reagan gets to go on her first road trip and she gets to meet her cousin, Darcy!

What I'm looking forward to next month...

Same as the question up there...Friendsgiving, Cruise, Thanksgiving, Gilmore Girls, being with all of our friends and family, and decorating for Christmas!

What else is new...

We got BOO-ed this past week by some of our friends in our class at church! It was so cute and we got another pumpkin...woo hoo! I'll take all the pumpkins I can get this time of year. Now we get to "Boo" some friends! 

Bonus:  What is my favorite Halloween memory?

One year we decided to meet my best friend at her house and go trick-or-treating in her neighborhood. My dad put a lot of hay in the bed of his truck for a small "hayride" and all of our friends rode around in it in her neighborhood and would jump out at each house. Also, I don't remember this, since I was only a little over a month old, but my mom said my first Halloween it snowed. Crazy to think about that since it's supposed to be 85 degrees this Halloween lol.

What we're eating this week...

I cooked 5lbs of chicken in the crockpot on Monday for chicken tacos for dinner/lunches. I knew we would be grocery shopping for Thanksgiving so I didn't want to spend a lot on regular groceries, so I used the chicken we already had in the freezer. 

What I'm reminiscing about...

I opened up my box of Christmas decorations last night to see what all we had to work with and saw my Christmas place mats I bought on sale last year for my apartment, and immediately started missing my little ole college apartment.  I love our apartment we live in now so much, but sometimes I really miss my apartment in Cookeville. 

What I'm loving...

This time of the year!! We went out the other night and got a few Christmas decorations that we were needing for this Saturday! 

What we've been up to...

Busy, busy! Working on our Christmas cards (I will be sharing those with y'all next week!!), cleaning, and baking! I made 4 strawberry pies last night. It was the first time I have ever made a pie from scratch, including the pie crust!! Matthew encouraged me when I thought about just running to the store and buying store bought crusts lol and helped when I needed help. Love my sweet husband!

What I'm dreading...

Cold weather. Seriously, the older I get the more I hate the cold weather.

These pants, but not in this color, sadly. These are my favorite pants, ever. 

They are from Gap, and they are 50% off right now! I bought mine at an outlet store on a huge sale weekend so I ended up buying one pair and getting the other pair free. So I definitely got every color they had available then lol. I love that I can wear them to work and even when I'm not at work! 

What I'm doing this weekend...

DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS (!!!!!!!!!!!!!), watching the Egg Bowl and Predators game!

What I'm looking forward to next month...

Everything Christmas! It's the best time of the year :)
