I CONFESS I

Joining one of my favorite bloggers, Catalyn, today!

- Monday afternoon when I got off it had started snowing. By time we went to bed Monday night it was still coming down. I was really wishing it would snow all night so we could have our first snow day at the house.

- We still have boxes that need to be unpacked, but each night after we have cleaned up from dinner we are just exhausted and ready for bed.

- A friend from high school announced this morning on Facebook that he and his wife are having a baby. I haven't talked to him since high school and yet I still cried when I saw it. Partly because it was cute and way too sweet and partly because I can't believe we are old enough to have children (on purpose lol) and start families.

- Thinking about having children right now at my age scares the mess out of me. I mean I can't even keep up with laundry for two people and I'm JUST now getting the hang of meal planning for two people. I can't imagine laundry and feeding another human. Maybe in 5 years I will have a different mindset..

- I fell asleep on the couch last night for 30 minutes and I woke up thinking I had been asleep for hours. I realized it was only 9:30...

- I found a new recipe for hamburgers that I tried last night. They kept falling apart while I was cooking them and they were really mushy. They still had good flavor, just not pretty lol. I'll be leaving the burgers up to Matthew from now on.

- I Snapchat just about every meal I fix. I love Snapchat and think it's a great way to share recipes with other people!

- I probably spend a good hour everyday looking at ideas for our house.

- I'm already planning our next vacation. Please, someone get me to warmer weather ASAP. This girl can't take this 20 degree weather much longer.

- I had two breakfasts yesterday. There was left over bagels and scones from a meeting so I wasn't about to let it go to waste. My first breakfast was fruit though so it wasn't all bad...

- I've been getting annoyed way too easily with traffic in the afternoons when I get off.

- I've been off my blogging game a bit since we moved. I just found my laptop in a box the other day lol.

Why I blog

Why I blog? That's a question I get asked A LOT.
When ever someone finds out I blog they smile and ask why. Well, I blog because I like it. I like writing and being able to share things. I have all my old diaries from when I was growing up and I love getting them and just sitting down and reading through them. I love seeing how much has changed and how my thoughts and views have changed. So that's exactly why I like blogging, obviously it's not a diary for me because y'all don't want to hear about ALL my thoughts but I like sharing the bigger events. Even now, going back and looking at what was going on last year at this time, everything is completely different.
I am living in a new town on my own and working a different job, I have made tons of new friends and my routine is completely different.
Blogging is also a good way for my family and friends to keep up with everything that is going on in my life.
It's something I enjoy and it's a fun hobby and I have been able to "meet" SO many wonderful women that I talk to weekly. Not only have I been able to "meet" so many new ladies I have been able to collaborate with some wonderful companies and help raise money for different organizations I believe in all while doing something I enjoy.
So that's why I blog because it's FUN and I enjoy it!

Also I wanted to wish my best friend a HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY!!
This is the first time since 3rd grade I haven't been able to celebrate with her on her actual birthday :(
but we sent plenty of love from good ole Cookeville!

1 year blogging anniversary

February 1st marked my 1 year blog anniversary or rather blogaversary!
So much has happened over the past year, from celebrating Matthew's 21st birthday to taking a road trip to Memphis last spring break, to Matthew's first guest post, to our trip to Holiday World (where I puked in front of EVERYONE), to celebrating 3 years with Matthew, to one of the biggest life changing events thus far in my 21 years, moving out, to accepting a job in Cookeville, to sharing with y'all what Matthew's BIG surprise he did for our 3 year anniversary, to sharing with y'all how I surprise Matthew for our 3 year anniversary,  to my 1st post after I moved out, to my first day of class at Tennessee Tech, to celebrating my 21st birthday, to seeing Ben Rector in Nashville with my sister, to giving our apartment bathroom a complete makeover, to telling you all about the SOC, to dressing up as minions for Halloween, to our 1st annual Friendsgiving , to Matthew graduating with his Bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech, to sharing mine and Matthew's goals for 2014, to Matthew accepting a GA position with Tech, to my 101 in 1001 post, to my precious (early) Valentine's Day gift from Matthew.

I actually started this blog back in June of 2012 but after a couple of posts I didn't really see a point in having one. I wasn't engaged or married, I wasn't expecting nor did I have any children. I was just your normal college student still living at home. Not really interesting, but last February I realized some changes in my life were about to happen and I wanted to document it all (still no fiancĂ© or babies).  In an attempt to get myself back on track I gave myself a challenge. Blog about something once a day that I love in February, I got the idea from one of my favorite bloggers over at Fifi Cheek and thus began my blog (again)!!

I thought people just had a blog and that was pretty much it I had no idea it was way more than that.
This is a blogging community and I love it! I have "met" so many wonderful ladies and I am always encouraged by each of them.
I remember reaching different little milestones with this blog from having my first reader to my first comment  to celebrating with an ice cream date with Matthew when I reached 50 readers and when I reached 100 readers? Mind. Blown.

I don't even feel like the same person I was when I started this whole blog! I absolutely LOVE going back and looking at previous blogs posts and seeing how different things are now compared to last year. 2013 was a life changing year for me and I am so thankful I blogged about it all so I can always go back and read it.

So I just want to say thank YOU. Thank you for reading and following along, thank you for your encouraging comments and not only on here but on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest as well. Thank you for your sweet emails, I read each one and each one puts a big smile on my face.

Just a few things

Well obviously I haven't been on here in a few days and that's because my blog is getting a makeover...thanks to a very sweet and talented lady & I am SO excited!! So keep a look out for more updates on my blog makeover :)

But just a few things from the past few days...

1. I recently found out I am going to my first ever hockey game!
This time of year hockey is pretty big with some people & I have never joined in on all the fun but on March 8th I will be!

Go Preds!

2. On spring break we are going on a little road trip!
I am going to Memphis with Matthew and his family for a couple of days, to tour the University of Memphis (for his twin bro Nathan)
Now if you know me then you KNOW I love any kind of road trip. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do.
Anytime I get to pack my Vera Bradley and hit the road I am a happy girl.
So today I am deciding on what all I am going to wear on the trip and then organize my packing list!

3. I bought green skinny jeans yesterday.
I was just stopping by Walmart to get a few things and I just so happened to walk by the woman's section of clothing and there they were.
Right up front & ON SALE. It was a done deal.
They were the exact shade of green I have been looking for and even better they were only $11.00
Seriously?
I have been looking all over for the right shade of green and at a reasonable price (college budget here)
So I immediately found the size I needed and headed straight to the dressing room.
I am not really picky where I buy my clothes from as long they are appropriate and at a reasonable price. (I will search all over for the best price before I buy something)
I left Walmart yesterday with a smile on my face.

4. DUCK DYNASTY RETURNS TONIGHT

As soon as church is over tonight I am jetting back to the house to get cozy and watch the premier of season three!

Will you be watching the premier of season 3 tonight?

Day 9 of Things I Love

Day 9 of Things I Love: BLOGGING

I am having so much fun with this blog and learning new things about it!

I have been doing nonstop research on how to get
my blog to perfection...I am still no where close, ha.

I really like designing it and picking out everything how I want it.

So far I have had help from these websites...

They have really helped and have had GREAT tutorials
